MR129 Type D – Phantom Front Lip | Mercedes-Benz R129 All Models (1996–2002) — Ready-to-Install

Introducing the MR129 Type D – Phantom Front Lip, a bold, modern interpretation of aerodynamic styling for the Mercedes-Benz R129.

Part of our Type D – Dynamic collection, the Phantom Front Lip features aggressive geometric surfaces, sharp transitions, and sculpted contours that transform the factory front bumper into a more commanding, performance-inspired design.

Unlike traditional smooth or understated lip extensions, the Type D styling philosophy emphasizes angular geometry, defined body lines, and dramatic visual depth, creating a distinctive appearance while preserving the timeless character of the R129.

Developed through high-resolution 3D scanning and advanced CAD engineering, the Phantom Front Lip is manufactured to complement the vehicle's original body lines, delivering a cohesive, contemporary appearance.

Type D – Dynamic Design Philosophy

The Type D collection represents MR129's approach to modern, aggressive automotive styling.

Characterized by sharp edges, geometric transitions, and pronounced aerodynamic-inspired surfaces, Type D designs create visual movement and a stronger sense of performance.

The Phantom Front Lip embodies this philosophy through:

• Angular Design Language: Sharp transitions and geometric surfaces create a bold, contemporary appearance.

• Sculpted Depth: Layered contours and pronounced edges introduce visual dimension to the front bumper.

• Aggressive Front Profile: A lower, more commanding stance complements wider wheels, lowered suspension, and performance-oriented builds.

• Factory Integration: Designed around the original bumper contours for a cohesive appearance.

• Original MR129 Styling: A unique design developed specifically for the R129 platform.

The result is a distinctive front-end transformation that blends contemporary styling with the timeless character of the Mercedes-Benz SL.
