Mercedes Automatic Transmission Shifter Bushing (R129 & Other Mercedes Models)

I designed a replacement automatic transmission shifter bushing for the Mercedes R129 and many other Mercedes models where the factory bushing commonly wears out over time.

This design is intended to be much easier to install than the OEM bushing. It can be installed using only a pair of needle-nose pliers—no special Mercedes installation tools required.

Installation

- The bushing is directional.

- Install it from the transmission side outward.

- Insert the shifter rod from the same direction, which helps retain the bushing securely.

- Finally, install the retaining clip on the outside.

Dimensions

- Inner Diameter: 9 mm

- Outer Diameter: 15 mm

- Recessed Diameter: 13 mm

- Wall Height: 7 mm
